Can a used car dealership disclosed the previous owner of a vehicle?

No. But evidently the dealership released my info because I'm getting contacted by the buyer who wants to "talk" to me about the vehicle.
I'm pissed ... I traded it in to not have to deal with the public.

Ask him why the junkyard it was sold it to as scrap didn't crush it like they were supposed to... you know cause those 2 people died in it during that drug deal.

Are you sure it was the dealership that gave them your info? Could they have gotten your name off the vehicle’s title or some kind of public record search?

Probably not. Twice I've purchased a used vehicle from a dealer and found the previous owner's name on something stuffed in the owner's manual.
