that's like someone robbing my car and running away when they see me, I cant just shoot them as the run away...
Sure you can but make sure the gun is not in your name and you have gloves on when you do then you proceed to get rid of the evidence and go back into your house like nothing happend

Because it's a stop to generate revenue when not a single person was endangered. Sounds all well and good until the university/city is involved in a massive lawsuit (whether the shooting was justified or not).
So the cops shouldn't stop people for "petty" crimes because it might lead to a shooting? That's poor logic.

Who's the human victim for this man not having a front license plate?

At least that has been nipped in the bud pending a 9 month cooling off phase.

Are the crimes harming other people or do they have potential to harm other people (ie speeding, drunk driving, reckless driving, etc)? If so, absolutely pull them over. If an inspection sticker is out of date or a registration is expired, no a traffic stop shouldn't happen.

For me it would depend on the car I had... If I was in some junker, "go ahead". If I was in a Lamborghini, I'd fight back
this is a different circumstance though in the OP. The guy is just driving away in his own car.
Cop should have called for backup and they should've spun the dude out and tossed the key afterwards. 60 arrests isn't a random occurrence, the dude is outright disregarding the law and should pay for it. Or at least stop his child support + cut off his babymaker.
I don't know how the cops are going to win this one unless they've got video of the perpetrator saying,"I'm going to run you over after I U turn." Don't really feel that bad for the bad guy though... 60? Damn. Crazy shot by the cop too.

How can you be arrested 60 times and not be in jail? How can you be arrested more times than how many years you've lived?
I bet it was easier for him to rattle off a bondman's phone number than his kid's birthdates.
I moved out of Cincy 2 years ago, but still go work on UC campus. It's as ghetto as it gets

Look, I get what you're saying but this guy is a campus cop who is probably bored out of his mind on a daily basis. He pulled over a guy who didn't have the correct plates and it went south. Blaming the cop for the guys death for pulling him over is just plain nonsense. Blaming the cop for shooting when he likely didn't have to is a much more legitimate argument.

Well, then there's really no point in having those laws if you aren't going to enforce them.

Oh I can see that, WITH THIRTEEN frickING KIDS!!! Someone should have taken him out back and shot him years ago, or at least sterilized.

We have a winner. If a cop has time to pull people over for inspection sticker violations, at that point the particular officer isn't around to protect and serve. He or she is now a revenue generator.

Or just get your car inspected and then you don't have to worry about being pulled over.

Yeah, I don't think the press at large will touch this one. I think even Sharpton thinks that this guy should have been put down years ago.

Because putting him in jail would mean no more lawyers, judges, or cops could make money off of him.

I don't know.
If the facts don't deviate much from the original article, this could have some legs.
You know how big of a story a father leaving behind 13 kids is going to make?
