I feel pretty ready for the bar, been studying since May. Hopefully will be in the half that passes. Oh and I don't know what MPT practice questions are, but if you are referring to MBE practice questions LA doesn't use the MBE.

What area of medicine? I might have missed that. She needs to cast a net far and wide. Don't be limited to LA.

You need to log off and pass the bar so you can bill 2200 a year reviewing medical records at a defense firm to simply keep up with the interest accruing on both your student loans and hers.

Well there seems to be many differing opinions on whether or not she is "done."
Not really. The people answering your questions gave a resounding conclusion of 'tell her to stop'.

Well she can take it 6 times and then that's it.
If she ever gets through step 1 there are steps 2 and 3. Then if she ever finishes a residency there is the final most difficult test.
Then she'll be old enough to retire.

No MPT or MBE? Damn, should have taken the bar in LA.

I'm hoping to pay my loans off within 2-3 years. Don't have that much.

Family medicine is a garbage practice reserved for D.O.s

Crippling student loan debt is what makes an attorney good. Gotta stay hungry.

Those MBE questions are easy as hell. LA has the hardest bar exam in the country my friend.

Its not that bad. I dated my wife through her residency and fellowship. She didn't make her first real paycheck until she was 35.

Because she'll be crazy the entire time, rack up serious debt, and frick around on you.
Then when she makes it to the big time she'll either divorce you or want to be a stay at home mom and work 1 day per week.

There are plenty of warm bodies now. Schools are opening up all over the place, residency spots aren't keeping up.
Agreed.
Step 1 is hard, but not even close to the last test she'll have to pass to become a practicing Physician.. Even if she gets through Step 1, she will still have Step 2 , Step 3 (which is 2 parts and expensive), and Step 4 during her residency.
..and thats not even the Board exam she'd have to pass to start practicing in her specific area of practice.
..and having to re-certify every few years
Not trying to be negative, but the reality is becoming a Doctor is freaking hard and very expensive.
If she truly desires to be in Medicine, I'd recommend trying nursing school/P.A. school (both of which are quite competitive and difficult as well)

NY and CA are the hardest exams. That's a fact.
