Hell yeah. Down with 20$/hr wages. Stupid fry cooks.
Leftists always have everything upside-down and backwards. They view this as a "what the employee wants/needs" issue and not a "what value the employee's labor brings to the company" issue.
They don't understand the value of the dollar or basic economic principles.

Sounds like you’re a bit of a company man. Good for you.

Why should someone with no discernible skills and no experience get paid $20/hr? B Ed aide you feel like it? Because it gives you the warm and fuzzies? Minimum wage is for entry level workers, not something a single bread winner of a family should be living on.

In a story beloved by economists it’s said that Milton Friedman was once visiting China when he was shocked to see that, instead of modern tractors and earth movers, thousands of workers were toiling away building a canal with shovels. He asked his host, a government bureaucrat, why more machines weren’t being used. The bureaucrat replied, “You don’t understand. This is a jobs program.” To which Milton responded, “Oh, I thought you were trying to build a canal. If it’s jobs you want, you should give these workers spoons, not shovels!”
That's a free lesson for today.

I got a medium Strawberry/banana smoothie at Smoothie King after working out yesterday. Damn thing was over $9.00! I didn't add anything to it either. Guess I'm going to have to quit working out!

Why is price fixing of goods such bad thing that it is prosecuted for collusion but it is fine to fix hourly wages?
This is just price fixing of the labor input.

Because one is private business and one is government.

He is why the founding fathers only wanted land owners to be able to vote.

How is unemployment helping a fry cook?

I believe rate of pay correlates to unemployment.

I prefer not to say. I find it interesting that you went from mid 20th century economic quips to the founding fathers of the USA. I’d have a beer with ya.

It correlates to increased unemployment. Sure doesnt help the ones who lose jobs over this.

Yeah, nah. You get a better quality worker at a higher wage…no matter the position.
The ones losing their job should learn from this.

Any evidence to support this assertion? Surely you can link to studies that consistently show these workers became "better quality" upon receiving a higher hourly wage.
