California 40th in federal aid received
Care to try again or are we going with the usual double down on ignorance gameplan?
Social security is considered "federal aid" according to this report. To me that's a major flaw in this report. People move from high tax states to low tax states when they retire and they take those benefits with them.

This is truly some next level ridiculousness. Wow.
The thing that really concerns me about it is that Pritzker may look at this and go "hey, that's a great idea"...except we don't have any surplus on any spreadsheet to point to to "fund" it.

California is an absolute joke

Where did I say that? The post I originally responded to said California is on the brink of bankruptcy. That simply is not true. Are they in a rosy financial condition? Far from it, but then neither is any other state mostly because of unfunded pension liabilities.
Also FTR, I think this law is stupid, but I'm not going to lose my mind over it because I don't live in California and it has little to no impact on my life.
All they hear is California and immediately go into "hurr durr socialism" circle jerk mode.

The population difference between cali and say Alabama laughs at your opinions.

Well it is a shithole.

This isn't a model that works. Not even Canada does this. In fact most of the EU only allows for urgent life saving care but otherwise requires migrants to purchase private insurance.
EU countries only pay for emergency care (urgent care means something totally different in the industry) and they do pay to transport a patient back to their home country (if it is an EU country) so they can access their country's healthcare system.

In order for illegals to get the health benefits, do they need to be employed in any regard?
This is my loose stance on illegal immigrants.
If you are working, earning a legit income, paying your fair share of taxes, supporting your family, I couldn't care less if you're "illegal" or not.
And with this, I'm ok with their getting the same benefits other working Americans get.
Further, I am emphatically not in favor of able bodied Americans to sit back and sponge off of everyone else.
However, I'm guessing this new bill will be incredibly abused and punish the able bodied ones who are trying, but just making ends meet

I'm enjoying it
Unchecked immigration only works without welfare. California is ensuring the destruction of their middle class
Texas says thanks!

The Feds should cut health care funding to California when this occurs.

In case you've missed it, the middle class across the country is disappearing. Of course you missed it, who am I kidding?

These people just regurgitate what Fox and Rush tell them. Compare Alabama's finances and federal money with California and see which one is a true shithole. I'm neither democratic or Republican FWIW.
Now compare their unfunded liabilities dumbass
or are you just going to regurgitate shite?
