Sore subject for me. I first hand witnessed the pain and suffering my bil and sil endured at the hands of the state as they handed over the child they had raised from six weeks old back to her biological "mother" who was still failing her drug test, was not working, and all while her family accused her of prostituting to pay for her drug habit.
It was a secret to nobody that the mom wanted her back to get benefits from the state.
