You are too ignorant to read past “fast food” Any restaurant with 60 + stores nation wide is affected. I own an Acai quick serve restaurant, fresh fruit, vegan, no dairy…very heathy. We own just 1. The franchise has more than 60 nation wide. My wife and I will have to raise our prices (currently about $10/bowl) significantly to cover this garbage. We employ mostly college aged kids just wanting to make some extra money while they are in school, not a career job. They also average about $6 an hour additional in tips. Plenty of money for these kids. But hey, keep spewing stupid shite as small businesses get squeezed because of arbitrary laws like this one

I’m not. But you are too ignorant to realize you’re being absolutely squashed by the political and corporate lobbyists. You read half the article, maybe the headline at most.

Go bitch to your lawmakers.

When I do, I can bring those workers over for cheaper. I’ve a tunnel then. Will satiate the fatties that need their 8$ Big Mac meal in this discussion.

Right…because every person in California is a left wing nut and we deserve it, I forgot.

My wife is an elected official in San Diego county. We’ve been here over 20 years fighting against this shite. Owned multiple businesses and The fact that you are callus against a small business owner just trying to make it work shows how petty & small you are

*callous is used an adjective. Beyond the matter.

I’m not against your small business. I bet you serve the highest quality rabbit food milkshake in all of San Diego. Good luck.

No. You should automate. That will cut costs. Any savvy business owner knows this.

Yep, you’re too brilliant for the rest of us… I never thought about putting in an ordering kiosk in my restaurant.
Part of what it makes us special is the interaction with the crew, people come in to not only get good healthy food, but also have a good customer experience.

But you keep posting your condescending garbage.

To be fair, in most California markets the entry wage is higher than that in order to attract workers. A lot of employers offer benefits and retirement plans in order to entice people.

It’s a ridiculously expensive state to live in and demand is still high for services.
