Wasnt there an attempt to make this happen back in the 70s? I need to get paid, me!

Lafayette attorney Warren Perrin petitioned Queen Elizabeth to acknowledge the ethnic cleansing. She did so by a Royal Proclamation acknowledging the occurrence and apologized officially. This is good enough for me. I get to live in the greatest country in the world as a result. No reparation could ever match that.

Reparations should come from Britain.
They can also pay Irish descendants while they’re at it

quote:Right. Like some other parts of "Cajun" Louisiana, that area (ironically situated in Evangeline Parish) was primarily settled by non-Acadian French.
don't think that Ville Platte has much of a connection to the Acadians who were expelled from Nova Scotia.

It’s really crazy how these Cajuns went to the most polar opposite climate available
A lot of them initially tried to settle in present day Haiti first… even worse!

I grew up in Missouri, we fought both sides in the Civil War. I should get something from both sides.

I never asked my dad why they left old Belgium…maybe they got kicked TF out of there.
Posted on 5/22/23 at 8:16 pm to Gaston
Why? The Canadians didn't kick them out of Nova Scotia. That was the British after they won the French and Indian War.
