My ex SIL was one and they pronounced it the same way... from Houma.... west side of course, not that trashy side on the other side da tunnel

Seriously went to an East side parade one year and the dude that threw the party had cooked up a ton of nutria burgers. They were actually tasty. But yeah that's my trashy east side story

"Caw-m-o?" Why not say "Como," like Perry, and I know folks who pronounce "Pitre," "Pete," and I've never heard "Daigle" pronounced "Day guh." We had a priest at our church names "Labat" and he pronounced his name "La-bot."

they are trying for a schwa effect on the letter O.
its just a long O.
