You're right though... It was all for marketing but I think a lot of people decided not to watch it because they heard a pretend trans-gender was going to win the courage award.

And you have pretty warped ideas of his/her motives if you think it was all for attention and financial gain. Caitlyn used all this "attention" to bring awareness and inspiration that probably saved many lives. But continue to bring the hate if that helps you sleep at night

I don't care what he wants to do with his life, he is entitled to do what makes him happy. It's not courageous. He dressed up like a woman and is pretending to be one in front of a thousand applauding, because they have to, indivduals. I don't think he deserves to receive any hate or to be forced to live on an island, but why do we have to celebrate his mental illness?

I can't proce or disprove any of what is reported, but if he really started taking hormones years ago before any of this recent "fame" and if he really got tits and stood up there for all to see, I'd say that's one hell of a long con, or else he's pretty committed to living as a woman

idk the answer to that question but I don't think that it discredits his cause or supports the opinion that he is a self seeking attention whore. I was moved by the speech and I applauded his transparency/sincerity. Agree to disagree guys.
