Cain Velasquez Gets 5 Years for Attempted Murder

For those unfamiliar, Velasquez is a former UFC heavyweight champ that chased down a man accused of molesting his son and proceeded to fire from a moving vehicle at the man, the man's step father and mother. He hit the stepfather twice. There is some question as to if the stepfather and mother knew about the son's activities in their daycare center.
Sounds to me that if you didn't release a man with felony child molestation charges on no bail on the within a few days, this might not have happened....
But what do I know?

Goularte trial is on June 2nd. Maybe he'll end up in the same prison. Either way there are going to be a lot of cholo Velasquez fans. He won't make it out.

From what I've heard from the rumor mill, the parents knew what was going on and were covering it up and Cain knew or thought that. Of course, he wasn't going to say that at trial.

Child molesters often don't survive prison. Even criminals want to see them killed.

I agree with you on this. He should have been held based on his charges anyway, but definitely should have been held to keep his diddlin arse safe from attack.

I believe no bail for 9 months, then Covid hit and he was put on house arrest with an ankle monitor.
