Found some Continentals for $160/tire, out the door at Discount tire. 245/40 R18 speed rated W. I couldn't find them that cheap on Amazon if you factor in the installation. Still, that's a $640 hit to the budget.
Having them installed, now.
I guess the car will drive marginally better, now...

17" wheels? I imagine you can get a set of decent tires for $600 OTD easy..

How's the audi? year and mileage? any trouble?

Tire rack has rebates on most Goodyear tires right now. I got the Tire Rack Credit card and saved $160 on tires I just bought. Paid about $80 to have them installed. I'm pleased so far

2017 A4 Premium with 25K miles. No problems. Only had to get new tires because of a flat. Decided to replace all 4.
Love the car - very fun to drive. The 2017 was a redesign, which looks similar to the '16, but is all new under the hood and inside. Lighter, bigger engine, and all the electronics are new and up-to-date. I drove to Eugene a couple of times, and was getting 35ish/gal on mostly highway with a little city driving thrown in. It seems that Audi underestimated the mileage and the 0-60 times in their specifications.
That's one thing about buying a car these days, is that the electronics are changing so quickly, that if you have a car that is 4-5 year's old, the Bluetooth, navigation, hands-free telephone, charging ports, etc, are out of date.

Why does it suck? Far superior to changing you tire on interstate with 18 wheelers whizzing by your head just a few feet away in complete darkness (except for those two beams of light shining in your eyes at 75 mph coming straight for you).

Make sure you they don’t break the pressure sensors

Audi's interiors are nice. Not sure if I like the navigation in the instrument cluster area.

Well, when you put it that way, spending almost $650 I hadn't planned on and sitting for almost 2 hours to get them installed sounds like a good time.
At least it will be a good time right up to the time I show my wife the new tires and tell her, "Merry Christmas, Honey."

Make sure you see the date the tires were made. They have it printed on tire. Many discount places sell older tires.

If you drive and Audi but have to buy your tires at Discount Tire then you are driving a car that you cant actually afford

Wait, a proper OT baller would buy a new car before the previous conveyance needed new tires.
How gauche!

That and the fact that I actually put new tires on the car instead of just trading in the car.
Every Discount Tire store I've ever been to has been very nice and clean. The people are nice there, and the service is good. Selection is great, too.
ETA: New tires at the dealership we're around $1200. If I have to overpay for things just to show I'm an OT baller, then count me out.

All due respect, you drive an Audi, bro (and to each his own, I am happy you can afford it). You really going to complain about the tires? Maybe next time there is a lower end model car you should buy and the tires wouldn't be such an issue.
Merry Christmas, my friend!
