If the INSIDE of the boots get wet, yes they will take forever and ever to dry.

Was going to suggest Merrills. Those are warm, waterproof, and very comfortable to walk around all day. They suited me great whether stumbling around the FQ at mardi gras or touring DC in the winter

I don't own a pair of those shoes Reb


I do have a couple pairs of waterproof Merrell day hiking shoes that I love. Wear them all the time on hikes. Only time waterproof hiking boots suck is in the summer cause they make your feet sweat like crazy.

They last a long time as well. I've hiked 12-15 miles in one day in them with no issues. Key is GOOD socks.

When in doubt go water proof. Buy them 1 size larger then add extra padding for comfort, wear jeans over them. Profit.
