How many of you own a tux vs renting....

I'm to the point I feel it would be a better investment to buy a tux as I wear one about 3-4 times a year now for events. I spend maybe 80-120 bucks per tux and not sure what a nice tux would cost.

If you go to two events a year, buy the damn thing.

I used to own one.

I lost it in Katrina.

I haven't had to go anywhere in a tux since my wedding. I rented that one.

I'll buy another one. But not anytime soon.

You should definitely buy one if you have to rent one 3-4 times a year.

I own. You can spend as much as you want on one. Mine ftr is about $2500 with pants, jacket, shirt, and bow tie. I don't like vest or a cumber bun. Shoes for me were not included in that price. They were another $4-$450.

Unless you're fat and plan on losing a lot of weight, bite the bullet and buy one. You'll be glad you did.

Bought a tux for my husband the first year we got engaged. We go to 2 Mardi gras balls every year so it would be stupid not to. Just replaced it this year actually.

I have a tux that I wear once every year or two. It's nice not to have to rent one, but I probably don't need it

Actually this has me thinking. I need to buy a new tux for my wedding next year. What brands are good to look at? Not an OT Baller, but I'm not looking for a bargain here.

You know what, baw? I'm not really sure.

Mrs. Crickets says it when she wants me to know that in no uncertain terms, I'm not to like or acquire the item that she's referring to.

Own one from back in college. Need another one. Particularly if I move back to Louisiana

No brainier.

Every gentleman should own their own tailored tux.

Even if you only wear it once a year.
