Apparently you don't live in San Fransico.

I totally bought the 30 dollar crimpers from a big supplier, crimped the 4 connectors I needed to crimp, and am returning them
My time to return the item is worth more to me than $30. (Not saying I am super rich, just super lazy)

All these dudes in here saying their time is worth more money...
What... 5 minutes to return something at a big box store?
60/5 = 12 x $30 = $360 an hour...
I mean, yeah you got to park and shite... but if you aren't going out of the way to get there....

Sounds like shenanigans my wife does. Time is more valuable than dealing w idiots again. I don’t blame you and it’s not the worst thing in the world. I mean you’re nowhere near George Floyd, and somehow he’s a hero.

It’s 30 mins plus for me to go to a big box store. It’s not worth the hassle leaving my parts of the woods to return it back to the shite town I had to venture to. Not everyone lives behind a Home Depot or in a big city lol.

After the gas it took to drive to the store and back multiple times, how much money did you actually save?

It was for an upstairs bathroom one-time job. Ran the pex to a toilet, sink and shower, crimped the joints and done.

You’re the one that started a thread asking if your actions were trashy.
If you can’t find the idiot in the room…

Your logic is flawed. You aren’t producing anything. You are actually stealing.
Are you a Pipeline Welder by any chance ?

My local Napa makes those crimps for $4. I would have just let them crimp them for me.

Two thoughts:
1. Character matters. What we do it private reflects what we do all the time. I expect more of myself. More honesty. More sacrifice. Once I start making exceptions, everything else suffers. If I asked my wife to do something like this for me, she would not respect me as much.
2. I have already saved money by not hiring someone to do a job that I can do myself. Also, now I have a tool I can use again or I can loan to a friend to help them.
In summary, try to be a better man and not just a “less trashy” version of yourself. Apologize to your wife for your thoughts and involving her in this dishonesty and ask her to help you be a better man.
Everyone around you will appreciate it. You will the most.

Well put.
You can always tell the guy that doesn’t sell something as a merchant. He’s a cheat.
Do unto others…
As Chedballz said you can get it crimped for Four bucks.
