In the late 80s, I went on a family vacation to Snowmass, CO. We went over to Aspen one night for dinner.

Burt Bacharach was there and my parents recognized him. He was with his wife and an elementary school aged daughter. Their car battery died and we took them home so they could return with another car and jump it.

His daughter reminded me of that loud and obnoxious girl from Willy Wonka that floated away.

Was very active in thoroughbred racing too. I always think of him singing raindrops keep falling on my head during afternoon deelights run up to the Derby. He was a mudder.

His arrangements were elegantly simple and beautiful. Nothing was ever over-produced.

RIP to one of the all-time greats in music.

94 years. That's a great run for great composer.

One less bell to answer...
One less egg to fry
One less man to pick up after
I should be happy
But all I do is cry

What's new pussycat

What The World Needs Now is love.

This is a fashion trend that needs to come back in style! Who doesn't like a nice white tassel loafer? It is ridiculous that you can't find these in shoe stores anymore.

No, Aspen has groups of people that ride together based on some criteria. I’ve seen his group casually nail monster backflips off of seemingly nothing. They are damn impressive.
