That's not something I'd ever want to have to find out either. Terrible situation for that family.

Bullying helps to toughen kids up, though. I read a long thread on this very board in which that was the consensus.

Not trying to take the focus away from the OP, but anyone from Louisiana making fun of anyone else’s public schools is an idiot.

Teacher that walks by and ignores what is happening should be fired and ban from ever working in a school again. I’m sorry but that is total negligence and dereliction of duty.

School should also fire every admin and the office staff/faculty that did not immediately call 911.

Pathetic that a child’s life is ruined in many ways because of these people not doing their jobs or giving a shite.

Bully should spend the rest of his youth in freaking Juvenile Hall at least and have this remain on his record for life.

Don't think this was a public school. Said she is suing the organization that runs the school. Charter schools are absolutely the worst idea they have come up with in recent years. They are run by 3rd party companies. Many time for profit companies. Yet get funded by states the same as public schools. They also usually do not follow same curriculum nor are held to same standards

so you think that that little kid has a dad who could prevail over the big kid's dad? The bully could probably beat up the little kid's dad.

Do some research on some teachers who intervened. Go sit in on some in service days for teachers. Teachers are put into a very difficult spot. That school is supposed to have resource officers in that area. Put the blame on them. Teachers are profusely forbidden from getting involved in most school districts.

This is why St George is a thing. No one wants to send their kids to a non-magnet EBR school. Libs bitch about conservatives sending their kids to private schools. That video demonstrates daily life in most culcha ingested schools.

I understand what you are saying but if I was a teacher and I walk by and saw a bigger kid choking a smaller kid I’m not going to keep walking like nothing happened. I will put a stop to that and I don’t care if my job is in jeopardy. I be damn if I see that and don't anything.

That is just stupid if people do believe that. Now I do believe a certain level of confrontation and conflict between young kids can be helpful in teaching a kid to stand up for himself and not becoming a victim.

California? No doubt the teachers have 10 layers of restrictions on what they can do around students.

it's pretty much everywhere. In fact, the schools will make excuses for poor behavior just to keep bad kids in school.

If your kids being picked on in school, it's up to the parent to keep them safe, the school will not do it.
