Nope, we're fat and proud of it. Our max takeoff gross weight is 488,000 lbs. I'd say that's pretty fat. LOL.

That's uncalled for. BUF is bad enough. It's a beautiful airplane.

She's a beautiful aircraft, but she is big and she is fat.

Big girls need loving too.

She demands it, and she takes it.

That hit on the building at 0:20 in the video was one hell of a blast. I'd consider that shock-and-awe any day over low altitude carpet bombing.

About what distance from target is that released?

Yes. I'm on the staff at AFGSC as the Chief of B-52 Requirements. I'm the epitome of the term "Barkatraz." I've been here since Sept 2001.

You probably ran across my FIL and MIL when they were stationed here a few years ago.

I'm assuming you're talking about the second building in the video. That was a single weapon. You can see the immediate explosion from the weapon and then a secondary explosion when the IED making material inside that building exploded.

I won't say the exact range because that's classified, but a JDAM like that would have been released from over 5 NM away from the target.

Maybe. There's thousands of people assigned to Barksdale, so I may not. Was either one a flyer?

Neither flew, but both were O-5 and worked under AFGSC.

Yeah, I thought that may be the case. Had to ask though.

Either way, that is some serious work being done.

And thank you for your service!

I just want to say that I really enjoy the OP's posts when it comes to the topic of warfare and especially air to air and air to ground warfare on top of what the future is with the Chair Force.

Good work.

Thanks man. I don't post much (as you can see from my post count), but I try to stick to facts and only offer opinion where I have the expertise/experience to back it up.

Thanks for sharing. Always love seeing those big bird flying over Bossier when I drive through.

Hope these kinds of limited tactics do some good. I hate the thought of things escalating over there again. Don't want my nephew to have to go back over there.

I think we're all headed back over there at some point. Whether or not we should have gone in the first place is obviously up for political debate - but, now that we've broke it we've bought it. And it's not good....
