He's in the Navy but he can call in airstrikes, fly drones, and operate a bunch of different modes of transportation. The last few years I think he's been training the good guys over there. His last couple of deployments coincided with reports that came out later saying we were in the area helping do that.

Cool, something like a JTAC with some additional credentials. Best of luck to him, I'd imagine he's a critical member of his team with those qualifications. Hope he returns home to you soon.

The Kurds may be our last best hope. Best of luck to your brother - if the political winds change I'd imagine he'll be postured to make a real difference!

He's a Chief that operated one of those Sealion stealth boats for awhile. Pretty sure he taught some Israeli guys how to run the two they have. He was deployed to The Philippines once. Before he went over there, I didn't even know they had terrorist. I think he was spying on them with the drones, but don't really know. He did some kind of arctic training with people from several countries six or eight weeks after he got back from there. The last two deployments he went to Bahrain and did something from there. I read something about the US training someone's soldiers in Jordan during one of the times he was over there. Whatever he's doing I think he's around the guy's we are supporting. He has mention how he really liked some of the people over there and he gets upset when he sees the things they are doing to innocent people.

Roger, sounds like he's been around the block once or twice -as a Navy Chief. Our main focus as a Nation right now is in enabling any Middle Eastern country who's willing to help, to assist in fighting ISIS- from what you've described, your nephew is a part of that effort for sure.

You should be proud of your nephew - the title "Chief" in the Navy is significant to be sure!!
