the corner by the hospital is under construction, I wouldn’t be shocked if the cones washed away and some idiot is calling it a sink hole

Cantrell just declared earlier this week that NOLA was ready for a hurricane. Was she correct?

You’ll be fine on Magazine street. I would take Causway to river road in to avoid Jeff Davis or Carrollton

I think people have forgotten what a May rainstorm can do.

They have been setting up for over a week. I don't know how they can get that stuff set back up for tomorrow.

She kept trying to get an angle that S&WB wasn’t doing something they would have been. The guy kept saying they had all pumps but 10 running and they were operating whith everything they could. Not sure what else he could say.

He said they have all but 5 working and she asked him if this was as good as it gets as the City is flooding with Hurricane Season right around the corner

He pretty much said yes, this is about as good as it gets.

There was a clap of thunder that sounded like a HUGE bomb, in the distance. I am in Bucktown with no problems..

As long as the mid-city bike pub crawl still goes on, I'm good.

To be fair that’s 5 out of a pretty large number, right? As long as it’s not 5 consecutive in a single substation out, id imagine only having a few down for repairs is a pretty good ratio.

Agree. It’s much better than having 17 out like in August

I live a block away from Cleary and the lake and I was in the shower for that thunderclap. The whole house shook.
