It’s a gas station. An overpriced and overrated gas station. And yes. I’m not fan of their food. Beef jerky can be thrown in the garbage. It’s that bad compared to others. Or even my own

Otherwise, I'll keep stopping in Rayne or Jennings.

I’ll still stop at Peto’s at the Roanoke exit if I just need to pee or eat quick. And I’ll still eat at the Shoney’s in Jennings when I feel like stepping back in time to 1985. But if I need to poo? That’s Buc-ee’s all the way.

Clean restrooms Amazing food Not having to wait to pump gas Always open

Can't remember the last time a gas station wasn't open or I had to wait to pump. Amazing food? It's fast food. Bathrooms are nice for the wife but I'll piss anywhere. Also, if I'm on the interstate I'm looking for something quick.

I used to travel a lot on the way to college. The restrooms off the interstate in most cities are disgusting. This Bucceees restrooms are immaculate

I don’t think it’s something you crave in or near your hometown

I would like one somewhere on the outskirts of the BR metro area. Not close enough to foul up traffic, but close enough to go once a month to get some stuff.

They should take note of how Texas has full-length exit lanes and service roads leading to Buc-ees. But Louisiana isn’t smart that way.

I wish I got exited about a huge gas station. I don’t understand those that do, but I wish I could go to that level. Big things would be insane level of excitement

Buccees is the place you want ideally located 3-4 hrs from your starting point on your way to presumed final arrival destination somewhere in Texas or in the Southeast or Florida beaches.

Perfect for me driving from Houston for LSU games and Mardi Gras. That’s place will make $100’s of millions.

I guess I get the appeal as a stop on a long drive but not as something I'd want in my city.

My best friends uncle that is a BR city planner says they are tearing down the old Corporate mall on College and opening one there

0.0 chance that is true. Even if they rebuilt the interstate exits it would be a massive cluster. Buccees would never do it

Don't get the hype.

They run a clean operation, but I'm with you. The food is OK, nothing special and very expensive. All of the boudin shops in Scott have better food than anything at Buccees.

Let everybody else divert to Buccees. More boudin and shorter lines for us.
