As far as Buccees, it’s actully in extreme north Fort Worth by Texas Motor Speedway, not in Denton.

there's one at the Hwy 80/I-20 split just east of Dallas still say it's an incredibly overrated convenience store/gas station

There’s one on just about every departure route from DFW. Building one on 30 going east next year.

It’s the GOAT truck stop and not even close.

I will forever remember Kige on with BAD Radio on the Little Ticket back in the day talk about his process for cutting his gas prices in half.

Dan asked him how he saved money filling up and he said he always fills up when the tank hits the halfway point. That way, he only has to buy half as much gas to get back to a full tank. Doing so slashed his gas bill by 50%. Donovan and Bob laughed and Kige didn't. Dan asked if he was serious and of course Kige kept his tone of voice which made them all start to stammer in disbelief

Dan said, but Kige, you only get to drive half as many miles. Kige: Yes... Silence...

what for?

State road improvements. The new governor elect JB wanted to tax milage for road repairs.

They are all fricking idiots. All the major interstates here have always been under construction and this is just an excuse to make some money. I'm serious, I was military for 10 years, lived in multiple states, and when I always came home on leave the same roads had the same damn cones and zones on them. It's frustrating as frick. They need to take note from MODOT, their roads and work is always fast and good.

That's quite a gas tax jump. IL even has a pretty sizable tobacco tax, too. Should be doing ok relative to funding roads without asking for another .30

Politicians are fricking idiots. I don't understand how they don't understand that gas prices could double in three months just like they've been cut down 50% in the same time period. Then they'll have $5/gallon gas and bitching that it's too expensive.

They don't see the Forrest through the trees (on both sides)

After school hopefully. The one good thing Illinios has is Illinios Veterans Grant. Next semester is my last for my bachelor's. Actually going to start polishing the resume the next few days

Edit: sorry for hijacking your thread btw and turning it into politics. Just figured I'd mention it since it's kinda on topic.
