OMG. A clean gas station that provides well paying jobs and benefits to its employees. The horror. Obviously people love their gear and shopping at them. I really don't see the problem. If you don't like it, just mosey on to the shite hole gas station down the street.
Life but be pretty miserable for the people who show extreme hate for something that they can easily avoid.

Yes they are. For gas station food, they’re top notch. I don’t expect to get competition level BBQ at a gas station, so based on realistic expectations, these sandwiches exceed in every way.

Same response. Temper your expectations. They don’t serve gourmet hors d’houevres , but they provide a variety of snack foods you don’t find at other gas stations, if snacking on a long trip is your thing. You don’t have to be a fatty to snack on a road trip.

I don’t get the love fest for that place. I want gas a snack, piss and get on my way. Last time we passed the one right there where you turn to go to the beach there was a traffic jam to get in the parking lot.

I definitely get this too. When I'm on a road trip I just want to get from point a to point b as quickly as possible.
But if traveling with kids that need out to stretch or need diaper changes, it is nice to walk into a place you know is clean and you can spend 10 or so minutes just walking around.
Plus not all Buc-ee's are huge mega gas stations. Plenty of regular size ones as well that aren't crowded.

They have some fantastic brisket and frankly if you can't appreciate clean bathrooms, then you can go to Russia.
