It's sad that it has garbage residents. It really does have rich history and culture. Great food....lots going for it.

But...the crime is out of control. They can't even seem to segregate the crime. I have visited lots of cities with "bad" crime...but all you had to do was avoid a section of the city.

That's why I roll my eyes when people try and talk about how shitty Chicago is because of the crime. The bad parts are no doubt really bad, but they're completely separated from the good parts.

Police call it a 'Robbery gone bad'

And how exactly does a robbery go well?

Seems if it goes well for one party, it can't go well for the other....

Exactly. I lived almost 2 years in Gold Coast and it was a bubble. Anyone could walk around any time of the night in that area without a fear. I would walk to that Walgreen's on Michigan Ave. by Water Tower late at night alone, regularly, and it was a safe haven of an area. Chicago has many safe pockets like this, whereas Nola simply does not.

I saw that also. Each thing he said made him seem sequentially dumber.

By and large, this is still the case. However, it's getting more and more blurred.

You are still much safer in the French Quarter than Gert Town.

Jesus the national coverage on this is starting to snowball even bigger since these were Church members from Boston. And now the news is coming out that one of the guys is in a coma right now.

It's not that bad...just stay away from there, there, and there.
