He’s the chief meteorologist for Fox 8 in Nola. He said from the beginning that the models navigating the storm west toward Baton Rouge were wrong. Everyone has been giving him shite for the last 24 hours.

He continually pushed the GRAF model which showed the storm going south of the city.

Enh...he was constantly showing the GRAF this AM and he had the circulation center passing west to east just south of N.O.

Now, was he correct about a more eastern path, sure, but it did not come close to that GRAF he was hyping non-stop from 7am until about 3 pm.

What does the hurricane passing “over” New Orleans mean anyway? Did the eye pass directly over Orleans Parish? New Orleans was going to get impacted even if the eye went through Baton Rouge.

I'm confused. The eye is just above Lutcher right now. How is that “hitting New Orleans?” sure they got the brunt of the bad northeastern weather but if that’s the standard, anyone predicting Mississippi would be correct too.

Yeah he was. He said the GRAF was too far east but it would be further east than the NHC model. He never said that would be the actual path. It’s weird as shite y’all are trying to twist what he said because he was 100% correct

Not really. The extreme western side of the wall maybe. NOLA is more in the eye than Lutcher

The center is passing west of lake pontchartrain which is where the NHC cone predicted it would pass. The only thing Katz was correct about was telling people not to pay so much attention to the center line because effects can be felt far out from that. That's the scenario that happened tonight.

What are you looking at? I'm watching the live radar and it was clearly in Lutcher.

Because it seemed the eyewall traveled from land fall across the river parishes and then north through N.O. and across the lake to the Northshore.
