BRPD Officer, Two Acadian Ambulance Medics Hit By Driver on I-10

On mobile so can't add quote but essentially some jackass hit two medics, a cop, and a Good Samaritan who were working a wreck at the split last night before driving off. They should've shot the motherfricker on sight. You've gotta be a major scumbag to run off after that.
Thankfully it appears they will all make it.

Drinking and driving is not a problem. It's the running into stuff that's the issue.
Plus we need more car control. Cars are the root of the problem. Background checks and testing are woefully inadequate.
This crap didn't happen in the horse and buggy era.

There's never been nor will there ever be a checkpoint ON the interstate so blaming this on DUI checkpoint threads makes no sense.
