What’s the pay increase as you gain years of service? The couple of BR cops I know seem to be doing well.

What does a BRPD uniform even look like anymore? They must have at least 10 different uniforms. The Chief apologizes about everything in the book then he sends his officers out dressed like Navy Seals with beards. How can one officer look across a parking lot and tell the other guy is an officer? There is no way.

They still have plenty of cops to sit in their cars in speed traps at 7 am and ticket working people.

Considering that they are having to exempt people from requirements now to get people into the police academy, and still losing a ton of people before they even graduate, I highly doubt they dig up a significant number of “qualified officers of color”.

The raises are not a lot. They make extra money working extra duty. Before retirement the go on the drop. It is based on their three best salary years. Retirement and life long insurance is the only reason for working that job.

I left in 2017, I made 10k more in my first year at my new job than I did in my 5th year at BRPD.
