I live in Jefferson Terrace and was just running a bath for my toddler. The water is kinda brown/tannish.

Is this bad?

Everything in the BR-NO area and corridor seems carcinogenic to me. From the attitudes to the air and water.

it could be bad, but it might just be construction nearby. sometimes when someone makes a new water tap, they don't properly shut down valves up and downstream. probably just some dirt in the line which should run through in short time. run your tub (unfiltered big faucet) or outside hose bib for a few minutes.

Probably some fire hydrant routine stuff.

It'll go away. Just particles/rust washed up from unused pipes being flushed. Don't drink it til it clears up.

Could be a busted pipe or maybe they were in that area today cleaning out some of the underground pipes and stuff like that.

They used to do this at my dad's house back in the day. Water would be off for 2 or so hours. When they put the flow back on, we had to run all the faucets and bathtubs/showers for about 15-20 mins.

Update: wife (no pics) called BR Water. They said to run it at the closest hosebib outside to the main for a few mins, then the sinks for awhile.
