I'd go because it is a free trip to California. Seems dumb not to. But I still don't understand the point. Is it a normal thing these days to have an audience when you propose? I always thought the exciting thing about a proposal is to make it a surprise. But this seems more like an event that people are being invited to watch.

OK, I'm old, but what is it with this new generation of "look at me" stunts like posters in front yards to ask high school girls to dances and full-family participation in engagements, etc.? Maybe I'll throw in couples showers and stuff like that. Anybody see it my way?
