I remember being about 8 and winning a roach clip at a carnival. Had no idea what it was, just liked the feathers on it.

Also, I went to the Washington Parish Fair last week on a field trip for our Mastery/Advanced LEAP students. First time I’d been to a fair in over twenty years. I was surprised to see that practically all of the dirty, white trash, three-toothed carnies had been replaced by Hispanics. I don’t really know why that surprised me.
