yeah ok

funny how when I buy a lb of ground meat and split it into 4 burgers, my cooked quarter lb burger is just as big as this "double quarter pounder".

I worked at McDonalds for a hot minute 25 years ago when I was in high school. I can confirm that 4:1 patties, which are used on the quarter pounders, are in fact 4 ounces, or at least they were then.

Hamburger and cheeseburgers got 10:1 patties, which weighed in at... you guessed it... about 1.5 ounces.

I also worked at McDonald's for a few weeks in the 90s. They are in fact a quarter pound "before cooking". Gotta read the fine print. They are loaded with fat that cooks off. They are some greasy sum bitches.

Back then we did what they called "queuing" which was the put the completed burger in a microwave.

After I quit the guys back in the grill would always slam 4 patties on any quarter pounder I ordered. It was the max amount you could put on one and still close the lid
