at least $100,000 toward conducting the study
The only thing we need more than new law schools Is new studies

Some campuses closed (Cooley’s Ann Arbor branch, Atlanta’s John Marshall’s Savannah branch), two schools merged into one (William Mitchell and Hamline), and others announced their closure (Indiana Tech, Whittier, Charlotte, and Valparaiso). In the last year, Arizona Summit and Western State have announced their closures.

So 6 closures in the last year? Yeah, let's open another one for a HBC. Great idea.

The only way this could even remotely be viable is for SULC to move entirely to Shreveport. Candidly, the state should have bought the old Swaggert place many years ago and merged LSU and SULC into one single law school.
This state does not need 4 law schools.....especially two state schools.

It’s not about need at this point, it is about a law school being considered a profit center for the school.
They don’t give a rat’s arse if every person who attends failed the bar as long as they get paid.
What I am more surprised about is that the nursing school hasn’t expanded in some way, as that is a high demand program and Southern still gets qualified candidates if only because there aren’t enough spots at LSU, Southeastern, etc.

Louisiana, a state of ~4-5 million people will have 5 law schools. Jesus Christ.
How many 4 year universities does this state have right now? Like 20?

Makes too much sense, so it will never happen.

If this broke arse state opens another university, it should at least be a decent institution. No one opens multiple branches of anything and says...you know, I’d like to have another one these things, but I want to make sure this one is really shitty.

their graduates still won't pass the Bar, so there, whatever
