I'm pretty sure that Hazmat was for the 2nd nurse (i.e. the 3rd infected person). If you actually click the link in the twitter post, you also get this is a pop-up window:
I also read that her apartment is near the hospital and popular among the people that worked at the hospital. And she lives along with no pets IIRC.
Edit:For more info, see link 1st post on page.

Are we all going to have to start wearing masks? Can I wear a cool one with a skull on it?

While not an "airborne" transmitted virus, it is "droplet-borne". it means that the disease-causing germs are so small they can live dry, floating in the air for extended periods, thus capable of traveling from person to person at a distance. When inhaled, airborne germs make their way deep into the lungs.
If she sneezed or coughed on that flight, then she transmitted the disease. Period.
FWIW, you just described what an airbourne virus is. They live in droplets floating in the air.
The other element that Ebola lacks that airborne viruses need to be able to easily infect respiratory tissue cells.
Ebola doesn't.

at least with AIDs you wouldn't catch it by reacing into the pocket of the seatback in front of you on an airplane for the inflight magazine and touching a snotty kleenex left by ebola erin.

And go "Ewwweww" and wipe the snot on your jeans and go about your day.
Maybe wash your hands when it's convienant after you touched a lot of your other stuff.

Stupid question....
So ebola is a virus, does anti bacterial stuff kill it?

So they are taking Amber Vinson to Atlanta to be treated. I've been flanked by Ebola.

Bad, but that's better than being "double enveloped" by Ebola.

Curious as to why Pham didn't go this route.

One news agency is reporting that Amber Vinson was running fever on the flight back from Cleveland. I have no idea how they got that information, but if so....that makes her symptomatic.

Are you talking meds or are you out shopping for the perfect hand sanitizer?
Anti bacterial meds do literally nothing to it.

CDC directer said she had 99.5 when she flew. Their threshold is 100.7, I believe.

How the hell would they know that?

Another point of contestation, much like the potential for it being transmitted via inhalation. She's now responsible for 132 people's lives.

Cause they likely have interviewed her. She was likely self monitoring her temp and she wasn't worried with a temp of 99.5.
She should have never gotten on a plane though. Whether or not she was told that..she is a nurse...she should have known that on her own.
