according to Flighttracker, the plane was used for five additional flights on Tuesday before it was removed from service. Those flights include a return flight to Cleveland, Cleveland to Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport (FLL), FLL to Cleveland, Cleveland to Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), and ATL to Cleveland.

It's as well thought out and reasoned as saying frick the cdc.

It was just said that she did not develop the fever until the day after the flight. She did not have nausea or vomiting on the flight.
Take it for what it is worth.

because much like the reaction to katrina from the government that probably resulted in a few hundred lives being lost..the CDC showed their nimble cat-like reflexes to stymie the ebola outbreak at the source..where the healthcare workers were at their most cautious and the disease most isolated.
again, let me say this slowly.

eta your argument would hold more water if it was random people in the waiting room that developed symptoms and not the hospital team.

It doesn't seem like the workers were at their most cautious if they got infected.

DALLAS Oct 15 (Reuters) - The latest Texas health worker infected with Ebola is Amber Vinson, a nurse at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, one of her relatives said on Wednesday.
A check of public records by Reuters showed that Vinson lived at the apartment complex identified as the home of the latest patient. Public records indicate that she is 29 years old.

Actually the fact that nobody other than healthcare professionals that had contact with the patient developed the disease means that the CDC is at least partially doing its job.
There's arguably no better prepared/better equipped entity on the planet to be dealing with this outbreak.

If it's another healthcare professional, expect all hell to break loose at that hospital.

This is what everyone has been afraid of. I doubt we think it will hit our block, then it does and our system is tested.... i'd rather it not get tested. I hope Dallas can contain.
My damn question is why would a nurse who cared for duncan and lived with Pham be allowed to fly? What type of voluntary monitoring are people using; shite needs to go to quarantine level stat!

If each newly infected patient results in 4 new infections, per week, then we're at 67 million in 3 months - not 6 months.

Apparently it was Vinson that flew on the flight from Cleveland.
quote:
According to CBS Dallas, on October 13, Vinson flew from Cleveland to Dallas on Frontier Airlines flight 1143. Anybody who was on that flight is asked to contact the CDC or by phone on 800 CDC-INFO. That flight landed in Dallas at 8:14 p.m. after leaving Cleveland at 6:31 p.m. on October 13. That plane is remaining in Cleveland until further notice, reports News Net 5.

Wouldn't it be better for all of us if it was another health care professional from the hospital?

That's the same one as the second nurse....third person with ebola.
