There was one similar to Taco Bell called Pedro's.

Don't know why you got downvoted. Pedro's was awesome.

And how many failures have there been in that spot since Donnie Jarreu threw Rodney out? Frick that a**hole. A lot of us older folks had our first drink out at Southdowns

1) 40 Arpent Brewing in old Arabi: Landlord was investor with head brewer -- some sort of dispute. Business had gotten a grant from the Meraux Foundation to build a tasting room, which hadn't been open more than a year when it closed.

2) Hubig's: Family dispute over buyout price is common enough, but this is a local icon. Would love to see the numbers behind this feud.

Not really a surprise considering Cortana Mall.

Southdown's Lounge. Rodney lost the lease after so many successful years in that location. Lots of people turned out for the last two weeks it was in business.

FWIW the reason Rodney lost the lease is because he was shopping the buisness for sale with 6 mos left on his lease.

No, seriously, the Aldi grocery chain does exactly that. Founded in Germany, all over the US, surprised it's not in LA.

They are coming to BR

Man that pizza was so good, between MB and Orange Julius, I’m surprised they didn’t salvage the whole center.....not really.

Papa Murphys. We really like their pizza and I could pick it up on the way home and cook whenever I needed to.

How does that equate to him losing the lease?

Are you saying he didn’t renew it? The guy started a aourhdowns in St. Gabriel not too long after he got kicked out of the original location.

Champps Americana in Towne Centre. I never cared for it, but on UFC nights 10 years ago...packed. what happened?

best nachos in BR hands down

Champps had a huge sundae, I think called a tower sundae or something like that. Was gloriously gigantic.

My grandpa ate a hubig pie everyday on his lunch break. He died of heart failure at 50.

How come Mugshots didn’t last too long after Champps closed? I see them all over Alabama and Mississippi and seem to be going strong.

McKenzies Bakeries. Surprising they haven’t been brought back. They’d be a hit.
