I have not seen the picture you are talking about.
Now as far as an unicorporated area forming into a city if things keep going the way they are it may happen. I do not know if it will be St George or the city of XYZ. Sooner or later enough will be enough and people will leave or form a city in the Southern part of the parish.

When the police dept gets caught up in committees and doing their job which is protecting the community they serve the dept becomes useless.

Broome doesn't seem capable of having a conversation about anything without bringing up the issue of race. I have to admit that I'm a bit surprised at how unabashedly pro-black her administration has been thus far. She campaigned on a platform of unity, but it sure seems like she's made it very clear where her true loyalty lies.

Well that was uncalled for, especially considering there are entire neighborhoods still living in trailers in their yards... IN EAST BATON ROUGE PARISH.

I can't tell based on the names, but judging by the group in that photo, I'd bet that there are very few whites on her committees.

Police do not have to give verbal warnings before use of deadly force.

Graham v. Connor ruled that officers can use the the level of force that is appropriate. They are not required to start at a lower level with verbal commands.

I can't see Civil Service allowing officers to be penalized for following the the use of force standards set by the Supreme Court.

Just had lunch with 2 BRPD officers & one said a very broad approach, from what he's hearing, will be similar to what happened in Baltimore when its mayor & atty general dumped on the officers there: they will stay in their units more & not be inclined to be pro active when they run across something on the streets. The same one said he will never put his career in the hands of a "race hater like Chambers". As for her campaign, every pol runs on a promise to unify the populance. But she very much ran on an anti police premise as well.

Exactly. This drivel may make the race baiting idiots feel better, but it doesn't mean shite in a court of law.

If FGC is on a citizen review board for police action I think everyone should write her. That would be freaking insanity.

Someone please, for the love of God, incorporate and create St George. Those of us in God's country need a buffer between us and BR

Some one needs to get KK over here, he has a strong relationship with MM.(lol)

Wait till that fat sweating toolbag Gary tries to tell cops what to do, or tell them who he is at a march or protest. LOL

I've seen it, these people on this board will feel like they have some power and end up being more of a burden to force than an outside voice.
