Last March, Brandon Eirich was sentenced to 6 years without benefit of parole for giving his girlfriend a dose of heroin which ultimately killed her.
Advocate story
Well in the last couple of days, I saw that he friended someone I know on Facebook. In his main picture, he has a very prick-ish look while he is sitting in his truck and several people have commented on how good he looks and how happy they are.
How is this dickhead out of prison? I assume inmates can't do Facebook, right?

Inmates have Internet access these days.

Cell phones are easily obtained in most Louisiana prisons for a $100 green dot card.
They are contraband.
Or possibly he is in a work release and able to have a phone.
If you are worried and want to be a snitch, look to see where he is housed (if he isn't released yet) and contact the DOC

Also, wtf
Two consenting adults used drugs, one died, and the guy is charged. Wtf.

District Judge Bonnie Jackson noted that Brandon Eirick, 31, had been released from a drug treatment facility just 10 days before police found him and Leah Hutchinson unresponsive in a vehicle in the 6900 block of Florida Boulevard on Dec. 18, 2013. Hutchinson, 31, later died at a hospital, leaving behind a young daughter. She was one of 34 people in the parish whose death was attributed to an overdose of heroin in 2013.

Eirick told police he bought heroin for Hutchinson but did not inject her with the drug. Eirick and Hutchinson injected themselves, prosecutors have said.
while the guy sounds like a huge piece of shite, I don't think I agree with putting the blame on him for her death. They both made shitty choices, hers just had a bigger consequence.

It's kind of dumb he got locked up when she was the retard who decided to do heroin and stick a needle in her arm

Which usually means "early parole" but doesn't mean he can't earn the states 'good time' laws. (Act 110 I believe) which means he would only do roughly 2 years on 6, and after the first possibly do the 2nd at a work release.
If he was sentenced around the beginning of the year in 2014, he would be out by now and having to complete the next 4 years on parole

The Facebook looks like it's new and gives the impression he is out...could be wrong though.

Doesn't that kinda defeat the point of being in jail?

I bet they both got started on marijuana and needed stronger stuff so they progressed to heroin

I will just go on record that he shouldn't have been in prison. But I am sure he still is.

The guy is a drug abusing scumbag but the fact that he was charged is pretty ridiculous. In the end, it would be better if he wouldve just Overdosed as well

Probably about right, but It's hard to tell when his release date is without knowing exactly what he was convicted for, how much time he spent in jail before conviction, whether he eligible for good time...

When was he arrested? They will count all that time as time served.

I don't know, I think prison sentences should require reading the SEC rant
