Well good. I hope it happens.
Maybe all the thugs and hood rats will stop hanging out in the mall (they aren't buying shite anyways) so actual consumers can go shopping without fear of being robbed or shot while doing so.

Reputations and stereotypes are EARNED not just handed out haphazardly. Baton Rouge has become a complete fricking shithole since Katrina and anyone from the area that says otherwise is either:
a) lying to themselves
b) part of the problem

Another example of a mixed place in BR is Parrains IMO. When you’re in there on a Sunday it’s nothing but good hard working families of all races enjoying a good supper.

Yeah I get it, things are somewhat worse because the TPOS have moved into other parts of Baton Rouge (thanks section 8 housing).
But people shouldn't act like BR was some kind of paradise before Katrina.

Don't forget, Quarters was part of that ghetto street party where chicks were twerking in the middle of Sherwood and thugs were doing burnouts in the gas station parking lot. Cops had to be called to provide security, but the shite was so out of control they couldn't disperse it. Only contain it.
So yes. After being involved in that I'd say it fair to say Quarters is trashy.

BR started declining in the 90s way before Katrina. The forced bussing put in place in the 80s caused a lot of middle class to flee for the suburbs. Areas that were once decent neighborhoods turned hood.
