I once matched with a girl on Tinder from the Houma area who told me her dad runs offshore cases for a firm in Houston and who is on the payroll as a community outreach/ client coordinator making sure the clients go to their appointments and get their checks

Yep.
"Community outreach" is code for "Keeping Gordon's name front and center in the black community".
Marcelle's District 7 Metro Council seat was formerly held by Byron Sharper, and in 2015, upon her election to the Legislature, she eventually recommended Lamont Cole as her replacement for the Metro Council position he now holds.
During Marcelle's time on the Metro Council, her chief administrative aide was Mike McClanahan.
Mike McClanahan is now President of the BR chapter of the NAACP.
Byron Sharper is now the VP of the BR NAACP.
LaMont Cole is past President of the BR NAACP.
Just so everyone understands the players, their connections, and their motivations...

That’s actually a brilliant chess move on Gordon’s part.
He knows that’s gknna get him loads of black community help when he needs it. He may not need any political type stuff but it will always help him make loads of money.

Yeah, some of those big Houston firms absolutely run cases.
Someone told me the Texas Bar is more lenient on that kind of stuff so that's why they do it but I have no idea if that's actually true or not
