FWIW - he is an amateur MMA fighter or semi pro... or something like that.

Really? She MAY HAVE enabled this guy, oh and he sounds trashy with that combination. She deserves misery for making poor life choices if there were signs before that she willingly ignored. No way there weren't shitty characteristics about this man from the beginning iMO. Women overlook a lot of dumb shite to fit some sort of idealistic world they think they are living in.

I don't believe rape claims anymore unless I see physical evidence. A woman's account of rape holds absolutely no bearing with me. I just assume they are lying.

That's why I hate the fact that the media will post the alleged rapists name. What would happen when the women's stories don't add up and it's found out that they fabricated it all? Meanwhile, the dude is trashed in the media and in his life all based on a lie.

Not saying that is what has happened here, but it does happen quite often.

Maybe she's transconsentual.

If she identifies as having been raped it doesn't matter if it actually happened.

He may very well be innocent. But I just don't like his face.

There is rape and there is sex. This sounds like sex. Four year old sex.
And he doesn't look like the type to have to rape some one to be able to have sex.

Yea this story reeks of post-coital regret. You'd be surprised how much a memory can change after 4 years. At the time it may well have been consented sex, but after regretting the incident, 4 years of memory fading and becoming hazy, and another woman accusing him of rape, this woman might think that it could have happened to her because she doesn't remember the incidents well enough

If you wanna put that to the test, try and remember a 3 month relationship you had 4 years ago. I bet you don't remember why you broke up, how many times you did it (unless it was something like once or none), etc

This story has eerie similarities to the Will Hayden story.

That's just strange, rape is a crime at any age.

Did he think that her being 18 made it legal?

Well good for her then. Hopefully she takes into consideration what caused her to be attracted to (at the least) a serial cheater.

the problem with today's rape allegations is the victim is instantly assumed guilty without any tangible evidence. Even IF this guy is acquitted of all the charges his personal and professional life is ruined. I think if found innocent the "victim" should be charged with just as severe a crime for lying.

So if he's smart enough to wait until she's 18 then why forcibly rape her? Something doesn't quite add up. I mean statutory rape or forcible rape is still rape.

I'm confused. Are you saying that if the wife would have given it up more often he wouldn't have fornicated with this chick? I just want to make sure I'm not misinterpreting you.

I'm not saying this guy might not be a TPOS but after being raped once why would any woman give him 4 more opportunities to rape her again?

If I didn't know individuals directly involved in dealing with and counseling victims of sexual assault I would probably have felt the same way. However, we can't fully understand how these incidents impact the victim's view towards the perpetrator and thus create trauma which will greatly impact them going forward.

Unless you are well-educated in psychological trauma, sexual counseling, or know someone who has been sexually assaulted, then I would venture to say that all of us are highly ignorant of how such an incident affects a young woman.

Rational thinking and logic would conclude that she would seek help immediately after being first attacked, but it's not always that simple.
