I don't recall his name. Nice to hear he is doing well, Boo. He was a very nice guy.

Arthur is his name. He co-owned Lock & Key with his now ex-wife. (The name was a pun of his last name.)
He's been sober for almost a year now. Moved to New Hampshire where he has some family and took a retail job. He looks 15-20 years younger and his attitude about things is totally different. He's taking photos again -- before they opened the bar he was a photographer at The Advocate for 15 or so years. I was pretty close to him, and while it sucks for me that he left town, he's doing a million times better. He's got three college-age kids that he dotes upon, so he needs to be around for them.

Yeah, he's a great Instagram follow. Alternate makes me want to move up to the far NE, and reminds me why I live in the South.

WHY THE frick DID I DECLINE SEVERAL INVITES TO SOME EVENTS THERE IN 2014?

The hey day of club culture was early 2000s. Olu(owner) would keep the place open til 4 or 5am on nights where djs were brought in from out of town/country. Yea the country lol. The names wouldn't mean anything to anyone on here but I saw some of the biggest drum n bass djs from the UK at lowly old club culture. Olu would have to kick us out of the bar because he was afraid the police would come at sunrise

Bring King of New Orleans with you, he pussied out when I tried to meet him. I'm sure you'll do the same.

Do you want the tables, so after I whip your arse, I can bend you over and spank you?

I went with this questionably clean, but smoking hot chick. IIRC, we left there and went to the Spanish Moon right across the road. CC was an okay time, but I got really full on Heinekens and tired of hearing reggae music after horrible techno music

Last time I went was maybe 5 or so years ago. Went on just some random weeknight with a friend at 2am. I laughed at the place still staying open after hours

Damn, I didn't catch that. I wonder how he'd feel if I started mentioning some names of people Alton was in the game with. Not to mention I bought from him once or twice when my people weren't around and I wanted to speed ball.

But, as you know, we can't ever let facts get in the way of a good story. He was a gentle giant who didn't have around 40 arrest. You do know that right?

Olive or twist and Driftwood are my current go-to's, depending on what side of town I am on.
