Asians are horrible in museums. They push and shove, talk loud and try to go around barricades to take pictures.

It's a high-context culture. They're not boisterous at all, so to us in low-context cultures, they appear as "awkward."

Example of her work

I think the bigger question is why the painting was so close to civvies that an event like this had a reasonable chance of happening. It should be at least 10 yards away, minimum.

So thats why Asian dudes can only land Asian chick's, meanwhile we can slam their chick's all the time

That's impossible.

Elías Martínez died in 1934. He painted the original work of art.

The "repair" was performed by Cecilia Giménez.

FTR: Great idea, just missed on the execution.

Get your shite together Taiwan.

This wouldn't have happened in China. That kid would have been at work.

Am I the only one who thinks he tripped on purpose trying to be funny? Or as part of a dare to touch the painting?

I read "trips" like that too at first.

And the damage is only on the bottom right corner, not even where the flowers are. Just crop the pic a little and--Voila! All perfect.

Death penalty for him. Immediate family, fellow tour group members all slaughtered. Residence burned to the ground.

That's more so for letters and other archival items on paper, not really for paintings. The barrier set up to protect this one is quite the joke though.

Edit to add: I also don't understand how he was able to get into the gallery with a drink. That blows my mind even more than the painting barrier.
