I'm surprised they haven't found a shard of Native American pottery and shut it down as an archeological site.

Ever heard of the Big Dig, friend?

You're seriously comparing the most expensive TUNNELING boondoggle in US history with digging up a few blocks of Bourbon?

All Major cities have a Mayor who fraudulently hands a massive job to his cousin under the guise of maintenence contract in order to circumvent the bidding process?

While siphoning the funds from a federal crime prevention fund to pay for it.

A prevention fund that is sorely needed because that mayor ran the feds out of town by being impossible to work with and continues to blow money on stupid unnecessary shite instead of helping the city police department do its job?

I mean, the project had a shite load of unknown infrastructure. This comes down to poor planning and da Bitch trying to hurry this project through as a maintenance item instead of a full fledged project, but this isn't as easy a project as you imply.

I can understand a 2 or even 3 million miscalculation. But more than double the original anticipated cost?

I guess the people downvoting for some reason think you're defending the mayor here. Pretty funny.

I'm curious if they attempted to conduct a GPR survey.

I understand. As I'm aware, however, I don't think they've faced anything that couldn't have (or shouldn't have) been reasonably anticipated with it. If so, I want to know what that is.

Knowing da Bitch is involved, I assume the bare minimum of planning went into this. So I'd say it do not involve GPR

According to you, most construction projects are done with 0 investigation into the scope or intensity of the project and then allowed limitless change orders after a fraudulent awarding of a bid as a small maintenence project?

That's what you think most public construction is?

That would entirely depend on your idea of reasonable. I have no idea what issues they're encountering, but things can get expensive really quickly with unknow infrastructure. Saying they should have reasonably expected it kinda goes against the definition, doesn't it?

Where's the proof that it was a fraudulent bid?,Or are you just making up facts to fit your narrative?

I'll wait.

Considering you are the one that posited that this is normal for other cities to have doubled costs on a project, it seems to me that you should be providing stats.
