Anyone have these? Do they really work that well? You're able to listen to music, podcasts, books on tape, right?

My wife and I just had a newborn and I'm thinking about getting her some for Christmas. However, at $300 ... I'm not sure if they are worth it.

Any other brands out there you'd recommend?

No, they're not compatible with podcasts and books on tape.
You can only listen to polka music with Bose

You're gonna have to get the XS size for your newborn

Are these the in ear ones? I have them and use them for lifting and cardio. Never fall out and great sound. Got them over jaybirds as I just wanted to try something new. I had the birds for about 3 years and they see good too.

I have the Bose QC 35's and they were worth their weight in gold when our daughter was a new born. I only fly 3-4 times a year but they have also been great blocking out plane and passenger noise.

Noise canceling headphones with a newborn seems like not a good idea. Safety wise

No way I’d pay $300 for headphones for a newborn.
Didn’t realize you were a Rockefeller

I have the QuietComfort 35 wireless headphones as well.
No complaints here.
Noise cancelling is real.

Yeah I know. What I mean is if I’m caring after a new born, I feel like not being able to hear what’s going on could be deterimental

They are for more for when she gets up in the middle of the night and feeds and cradles her. She wants to be able to listen to books and podcasts while doing this without having to turn on our sound system.

Newer models of the Bose (QC35s) and Sony (WH-1000XM3) models just came out so I would recommend getting either the QC25 or the XM2s which are very similarly reviewed. I personally have a pair of the XM2s and I love them. I think you can find them for $200 now that the newer models came out...maybe even less.

Ive tried many... used in gym. Best ive found are the Jaybird III's. I have Bose, of the $200 variety. Don't perform as well as Jaybirds

Definitely recommend. I use them at the gym and to run in. Have never had an issue with them falling out and the sound quality is great.
