You want to dig them up and kill them again?

Not really comparable at all, but ok.

And the bank tellers that tried to stop them fricked around and found out.

Never heard that song but that first part sounds a lot like Johnny Cash's "Ballad of Ira Hayes". Johnny must have based the rhythm off that song?

They are very similar, probably both derived from the same old English folk song

He didn't write "Ira Hayes"

I always thought there was something savagely sexy about Blanche Barrow.

She lived to be 77 years old and wrote a book about her experience riding with Bonnie and Clyde.

Actively committing a forcible felony vs just driving down the road as a wanted felon I'm glad due process has re-emerged since that era of judge, jury, and executioner.

One can make all those type of excuses they want. They shot and killed indiscriminately. Those victims had nothing to do with the depression or their misfortunes.

Saying they were just driving down the road, is like saying the Uvalde shooter was just walking down the hall.

Clyde was very good with a gun and they shot themselves out of several tight binds, killing cops in the process. Frank Hamer and his Texas Rangers weren't screwing around when they set up the ambush in La. It was shoot to kill and ask questions later. They fired at least a hundred rounds I think.

Just saying the now uniform portrayal of them now as monsters is not what the public sentiment was back then.

Did something come out to change the opinion now? I've always heard them be talked about as just a couple of lovebird renegades that weren't going to let society keep them down. Had movies like Natural Born Killers and songs like Take the Money and Run and Lay Me down obviously influenced by their story that romanticized the shite out of them too.

Not really the same. I do agree the only way to kill them would be what the cops did, so I can't blame them. But then I also can't blame B&C for what they did, because the banks fricked everybody over in those days. TBH the bank tellers should have just stepped aside and they wouldn't have been killed. That's what happens when you try to play hero against B&C. Those tellers are retarded, it's not even their money.

I was basing my opinion on conversations with my great grandmother when she was still around.

She and her family lost everything in Meridian MS during the depression. That general impression of Bonnie and Clyde was reinforced when I watched the Netflix movie on Hamer and the Texas Rangers. Good movie btw.
