You are too dumb to pick up what I am putting down.

Continue to compare them to the Uvalde shooter. That makes you look really intelligent.

Maybe not, but they threw their support behind people like B&C.

Nobody said this, anywhere.

I’m sure you would be just as receptive if Tyrone claimed maltreatment while in Prison? Would you defend him committing crimes when released? Something tells me no

They used to hide out on my property. One of Clyde’s relatives lives down the road from me. CSB

Which is incredibly wrong. What if your sister or brother was killed by them while making money wage? They had nothing to do with what was going wrong in the country at the time. Also they never even claimed to be some type of revolutionaries, so why claim that on their behalf?

You’re too dumb to ever start a thread as good as this one.

Where else could we get a flame war over Bonnie & Clyde?

What was all of the “people thought banks were bad and were on their side” stuff?

It is just a fact of history. People hated the banks back then. Police defended the banks and they were hated too. You can’t look at this issue through a 21st century lens.

Because this is a weird fricking thing to be concerned about.

I’ve never understood how people can feel passionately either way towards people who died decades before they were born. I could not feel more neutral towards Bonnie and Clyde lol

Common sentiment in those days was that Bonnie and Clyde were doing the right thing by stealing from banks. At least in places like texas and Louisiana. That is, until they killed the police which is when sentiment started to change (yet they still had supporters). This is a fact and well known. You can choose to not believe it if you want to. I really don’t care.

People hate the banks/big business, now. It’s not like this happened 100 BC

They hated them a lot more back then.

Funny enough, the republicans (many any this site) who continuously defend big business and large corporations today are descendants of the people that would have supported Bonnie and Clyde back in those days. It’s funny how things change.

But it’s changing again. People on the right criticize big business as being woke or being part of the global elite. Huey long was a straight up socialist and unbelievably popular with poor white people in Louisiana

Can you imagine someone with his stances being popular among working class whites today?

Ok.. what does the public sentiment back then have to do what is/was right or wrong?

You should pay reparations.
