Bonnie and Clyde were cowards

They murdered multiple innocent people and were feared bc they would indiscriminately shoot live rounds against anyone in there way. Saying they shouldn’t have been shot down is like saying the Uvalde shooter shouldn’t have been engaged.

Well, it’s what happened, they shot and killed multiple innocent civilians and members of law enforcement.

They seemed to think the bankers and the men defending them weren't so innocent. If you had just lost everything in the depression then had everything taken by the banks you would probably agree with them.

Not saying they were right, but they had a following that thought they were doing the right thing.

No, I wouldn’t agree that killing the bank teller was ok.

Robbing banks wasn't seen as such a bad thing. Killing innocent people is a whole other thing

Nor would I.

Just saying the now uniform portrayal of them now as monsters is not what the public sentiment was back then.

Sorry you had to resort to a typo to make a point. The real crime was them murdering innocent people

Robbing banks wasn't seen as such a bad thing
If you'll gather 'round me, children,
A story I will tell
'Bout Pretty Boy Floyd, an outlaw,
Oklahoma knew him well

But a many a starvin' farmer
The same old story told
How the outlaw paid their mortgage
And saved their little homes.

Others tell you 'bout a stranger
That come to beg a meal,
Underneath his napkin
Left a thousand-dollar bill.

It was in Oklahoma City,
It was on a Christmas Day,
There was a whole car load of groceries
Come with a note to say:

"Well, you say that I'm an outlaw,
You say that I'm a thief.
Here's a Christmas dinner
For the families on relief."

Yes, as through this world I've wandered
I've seen lots of funny men;
Some will rob you with a six-gun,
And some with a fountain pen.

And as through your life you travel,
Yes, as through your life you roam,
You won't never see an outlaw
Drive a family from their home.

What is right or wrong at the moment gets washed over by time.

A lot of people during the great depression thought the system was corrupt, and if someone stuck it to the corrupt bankers and some people they thought responsible didn't come home that day, well that's justice (in their minds anyway). Again- I don't agree with that mentality but it plainly existed.

There's been plenty of times throughout history where someone does something flagrantly illegal that they think is just, with a large public sentiment behind them. It's often only well after that incident that public mood changes.

Are you like drunk and depressed or something? Because this is a weird fricking thing to be concerned about.
