Exactly. The crank is for starting the engines!

the side windows on a lot of airliner cockpit windows have handle cranks though, wish we could just get power windows!

So how many men’s cranks did you turn to get the job?

a buddy of mine told me before I went in for the third phase interview, "if they start to shut it down before twenty minutes are up just go straight for the zipper, you've got nothing to lose at that point"

How is the manual trim crank connected to the trim? I thought everything was usual electronic now and difficultly or force required was based on computer. Is manual trim crank different?

Women / effeminate SJWs need not apply for Boeing jobs
You do realize that Boeing is not an airline, right?

My brother is a fireman. The department was forced to hire a woman. She can't do the job. He told me that if something happened to him and he was knocked out in a building she couldn't pull him to safety. She can't even drive the firetruck.
Certain jobs shouldn't hire 'diversity'.... when it comes to safety it should be the best person who gets the job.

You need to be able to curl the weight of a small car to fly the 737 MAX.

They significantly reduced the size of the trim wheel in the Max (from an already-reduced wheel in the 737 NG), which significantly increases the force required to turn the thing. The Incredible Hulk would not have been able to turn the wheel in both the Ethiopian and Lion Air crashes. In other words, the manual trim wheel is often inoperable in the very conditions you need to use it.
A potential serious issue for Boeing is that this could even be true for the 737 NG as well. The only difference is that the NG doesn’t have the same annoying tendency to point toward the ground like the Max does.
But regardless - what do you do about the NG (arguably the safest aircraft ever developed) if it’s true that the manual trim wheel isn’t operable in those emergency conditions it needs to be operable? We know this is a fatal flaw. Just because it hasn’t happened yet doesn’t mean it won’t.
