At this point, I say cop and family are in the wrong. My dogs are inside dogs. I have a locked gate in the backyard if they need to go out. If someone rings the doorbell, I either walk out the backdoor (with dogs inside) and go around, or I let the dogs out into the backyard and answer the front door. Sure, it takes an extra 20 seconds or so, but it’s convenient for everybody.

If you or I would have "neutralized" the dog in that situation, that same cop would have thrown our asses in jail.

We have now entered the cops are supposed to allow dogs to actually bite them segment of the delusion. This keeps getting better

Another thing I didn’t even mention to the morons in last nights thread. Yall have ZERO right to ever complain about aggressive dogs or idiot parents with aggressive dogs

I would NEVER allow a dog that acted like that to a human ever be in my house with my kids. Ever. That was a future massive problem

0.0% chance. This is very clear where the law stands.

Nah. It’s not a Pitt so it’s ok and you’re supposed to let it bite your kids. They will live. Just kick his head when he does bite them.

I think that’s what I’ve learned so far. It’s challenging for me to think so rationally, though I am trying.

Just saw the body cam, cop seems like a pussy. He held his hand out for the dog. The dog rushed up and started jumping and barking, then turned away before a shot was fired.

Let’s say the officer managed to subdue Cujo without killing him

Would any of the dog defenders in here actually suggest the family keep that damn dog with their young children?

Just another instance of cops showing up to the house that called 911 for help and shooting someone/something.
Actually, I think I read he responded to the wrong address. Even worse!

The dog ran off his property, through the neighbors property, onto a public street to go full Cujo on a human just standing.

That is doing multiple things wrong

Yup. Immediately goes for his gun, why not just back off. He had no reason to be going into their yard.

Well dang. I was expecting to see a cop walking around in someone's fenced in back yard and killing their dog.

This is a totally different situation. Why do they have the dog out front and off a leash?

An off leashed off property dog acting like that is never going to end up with the shooter being in jail. The shooter if they chose could still press charges on the dog owner though

A strange man walking towards the people he’s supposed to protect. And all he did was bark and warn the pussy cop. I would love for my dog to be that protective over my children. Dog did everything he’s supposed to do.
