here is a link to the dealership. 100K off of a 300K boat. 30% off down to 195K.
that POS wake board boat isn't worth 40k in my opinion.
The squatted truck of the waterways.

That is correct, but 20 year financing has thrown that calculus over the side. It's worth what someone can get a loan for. Used prices are coming down to earth as people start accepting their losses and just try to get out from under the note.
I remember not all that long ago that it was a preposterous thought that someone would finance a recreational boat for 10 years. Anything other than a house for 10 years was mind blowing. Financing anything recreational, period, was not really a thing as least as far as I could tell from my narrow world view.
Now, I'd venture to say that paying cash for high-cost recreational stuff (boats, side by sides, etc) is less common than financing is. Made sense when rates were 0%-2% on some stuff. Now, nooooooooooooo thank you.

That's a lot of engine hours in 2 years on a recreational fishing boat.
lol not really if you live in South Louisiana......thats only 2 hours a week....most people down here use their boats for just about anything, fishing, going to the camp, booze cruising, going to the sandbar, taking the kids tubing....etc.

Seeing a bunch of baws getting pissed these days they can’t sell their 15 year old bass boats for more than what they paid for them. Now just wanting someone to pick up the payments.
This was always coming, was in few Bass Clubs from 19-23 and was always shocked at all the rednecks that had brand new 6 figure bass boats, live scopes, power poles, GPS trolling motors pulled by the brand new King Ranch.
20 year boat financing lol. Stupid financial decisions abound.

It's not very big.
for a coastal inland fishing boat ist's the perfect size...

It has a single engine.
You dont need a twin engine boat if you're only going 8-10 miles offshore to fish the rigs...
quote:
It doesn't have a fresh water tank
Unnecessary for an inland boat
quote:
It doesn't have a windlass.
All it needs that it's missing is Power poles and an I-Pilot...anchors are a thing of the past
quote:
It doesn't have a top
That gives it more value...frick a T-Top...I would never buy an inland boat with a T-Top.....offshore boats....that's a different story

It's easy for me to talk shite from the position of having a 20+ year old boat that is obviously paid for and still usable. If it were to catch on fire right now, I'd be out boat shopping tomorrow. I'd PROBABLY make a somewhat irresponsible purchase because I suffer from a chronic coonass disease where my brain thinks owning a boat that costs more than the house is perfectly acceptable. I have to actively suppress the urge to go buy a $100k boat at least a few times a month. It took a lot of will power for me to buy my old tub and not put myself neck deep in debt on a 20 year old offshore boat.
So, I get why people do it. I have the same little voice in my head. But at least if I bought a 6 figure boat, it'd have 2 engines and be pretty damned large. Every boat over 20 feet long costing more than 6 figures is ridiculous.

You're still missing the point. Its an excellent boat. The best mass produced bay boat on the market IMO.
I listed those things because all of those things would be things that would justify a higher hull price. They cost money to purchase and install and require more shipbuilding labor and materials that drive the cost up.
Bolt-on electronics like power poles and trolling motors don't add any value over what they cost over the counter, because the installation work is for all practical purposes zero. You basically bolt them on.
That $120k is basically hull, engine, and trailer for a 25' long low draft used bay boat. The materials and construction time in that entire package do not justify the price point.

Im not anyway saying I would pay $120k for that boat.....but that would be a boat that would interest me if I was shopping......I probably would offer $95K though

I know the white MTI is business owned. It has five 500 HP engines on it.

Disagree on the 32’ perspective.

Why? Do you feel like you would be getting $95k worth of boat with that?
Obviously some people do because they buy them, but I just don't get it. I look at that and see about $60k of my own money to own that, and I'd probably puke on the papers as I was signing them. We live in the poorest state in the country yet you can't fling a beer can at any marina in this state on july 4th without hitting a $100k+ boat.
The market is broken.

Some of us appreciate a nice gel coat and an engine that isn’t worthy of the Smithsonian.

Here ya go, first one that popped up for 100-120k 30-35 feet.
Quite a few options listed with those criteria
31 Jupiter ready to go

310hrs isn’t too bad but I’m not paying for a 25 yo hull. I appreciate a Jupiter but nope.
Posted on 8/4/25 at 3:57 pm to DownshiftAndFloorIt
How are these boats so much? Seems like you'd do better buying an older one on the cheap and having it redone and putting new tech in it
Posted on 8/4/25 at 3:57 pm to DownshiftAndFloorIt
North of 30-31’, you’re hitting $165k plus. Well, for anything worth a shite.
Adjusted. I was too high.

1 or 2 years ago I sold my custom built aluminum 2008 24' Hanko with 475 hours with a Yammy 250Hp, walk though windshield, power poles, Tolling Motor....fricking Cadillac.....I was asking $55k and that's what I got.......it would have cost him over $100k to build that boat....I only paid $58k in 2008
People who know what they want, know what they want no matter the price
Posted on 8/4/25 at 4:01 pm to CharlesLSU
Is that not a perfectly servicable 32 foot offshore boat ready to fish for the same price as the used blackjack?
Lets up it to 195k like the shitty bag of wakeboat arse in the OP
